Ancient artefacts destroyed at Mosul museum

Hello writers and readers,

I love ancient artefacts of wherever country and culture, it is our past and it is great to admire them nowadays.
Shocked to know that the news today said ancient artefacts destroyed at Mosul museum.
That artefacts were priceless and were from Assyrian and Akkadian empires.
“The birthplace of human civilisation … is being destroyed”,
“In front of something like this, we are speechless,” said Kino Gabriel one of the leaders of the Syriac Military Council .

Yes spechless is the right word, because this artefacts don't belong only to the people of Mosul but to the whole world. Assyrian is one of the most ancient people we have had and they left precious and mysterious artefacts.
Since i have written a fantasy book and i love legends and mysterious artifacts i'm very disappointed to hear such this great loss.

Thursday excerpt from Hyperearth

Hello, i hope you are having nice Thursday !
Another excerpt from Hyperearth

The girls found themselves walking through what seemed to be the outskirts of a village, along the main road, but without a person in sight.
“This place gives me the shivers,” Mary commented. Suddenly, to their surprise, the two girls caught site of people motionless all around them—some on the street, some on the sidewalk.
“They seem to have been turned into statues!” Mary remarked.
As they examined the human statues, they suddenly heard the low but firm voice of a man dressed in a dark coat and hat. “What are you doing here? Are you crazy? Do you want to end up like these people? Come here!” Shocked, the girls abided by his advice and followed him into his house.
“What’s wrong?” Mary asked.
“Hmm, where are you from? Sathon the sorcerer has cast a spell on these people and you can’t go outside. If he sees you, he’ll turn you both into pillars of black stone!” It was only at that point that the man decided to introduce himself. “My name is Ron Mulley,” he said with a bow, taking off his hat. “And I know how Sathon can be cheeky!”
“Sorry, sir! We didn’t know. We’re new here,” Martina replied.
“And where do you come from? Another dimension?” Mulley asked.
The girls looked at each other, feeling awkward. “Well, we are from Earth.”
“Aha, I knew it! People on Earth are careless and superficial, and it’s been a long time since we met one.”
“What an arrogant man,” Martina whispered to Mary.
“What was that?” Mulley asked in suspicion.
“Nothing, nothing,” Mary insisted.
“Well, let me bring you to Bear. He knows about people from the dimension of Earth. Follow me,” Mulley instructed.

Castle inspired me for Hyperearth

Hello writers and readers
I would like to give you one tip about my book Hyperearth.
Visiting some years ago this castle in Slovakia, i had the idea of creating my book.
There are two castles in my book, one is on earth and at Lubena where with Martina and Mary started  the travel, and it's this one i mean. the second is the castle of sorcerer Sathon that is in Hyperearth.
Lubena is the name i have given, the city i'm inspired is  Stará Ľubovňa, Slovakia.

Here is the excerpt from my book:

"In the hills of Lubena – the town where the girls lived – there was a castle nearby. The verdant town was surrounded by the lofty Tatra mountains. The castle belonged to Count Lasky, and some said that he practiced magic, but many thought this was a mere legend— one of the many that circulated throughout the village"

I don't know if it is there the Khenon (the portal that brings to Hyperearth)  but who knows maybe!

Approaching Sathon Castle

Hello writers and readers,  here another excerpt from Hyperearth :

“We’ll get to Rolkov soon,” Kestrel said. “And I think that man can help us find the way.” He pointed to a person in the near distance.

“Who is he?” Martina asked.

“He is a guardian. The guardian of a cemetery.”

“Ah, well, we could have easily missed him,” Mary sneered, a bit disconsolate.

“Girls, enough of your trouble. Just keep walking,” Kestrel commanded, irritated.

The girls lagged a bit behind Kestrel, so they could gossip to each other. Martina whispered to Mary, “The idea of meeting this guardian doesn’t thrill me. As it seems to be Kestrel’s friend, I’m suspicious of him too.”

“Yeah, that’s what I think also,” Mary replied. “Let’s keep an eye out that Kestrel’s not making up stories again.”

All of them reached a gate, where Kestrel approached the guardian, a middle-aged man in a dark coat. He was bald, with only a little bit of hair on the sides of his head, and had a worn face with sunken eyes.
After examining his appearance, Mary leaned towards Martina’s ear and whispered, “He seems more like an undertaker than a guardian!” Martina smirked at the comment, as the two men continued to chat. Mary scanned the cemetery, seeing that it looked abandoned, except for a few gravestones, some broken, with indecipherable ancient inscriptions

“I know you’re from Earth,” Rolkov addressed the girls. “I’ll tell you what I know that will help you defeat Sathon.” He continued by saying that he was relegated there by Sathon, who had saved him from danger, but in exchange, forced him to be the cemetery guard. “Sathon is very powerful, but if you channel his weaknesses, you can get rid of him once and for all,” Rolkov said. The girls listened attentively, and the guardian continued: “I remember seeing a large stone on the floor of one of his rooms. It was purple and shaped like an egg, and radiated a powerful energy. I’m sure it’s something important to him.”

“Hmmm, interesting,” Kestrel replied, intrigued.

“So, do you think it’s a source of energy for Sathon?” Martina asked.

“It’s probable,” Rolkov replied. But just as he had finished speaking, the tombstones began to rumble, as if they were dancing. The group shivered in fear—all except for Rolkov, that is—and the owl that was perched on one of the stones even jumped up into flight. Rolkov told everyone not too worry, because it was what happened when someone talked too much about “him,” meaning Sathon, but whom he didn’t name. Rolkov explained that Sathon’s ancestors, who were buried there, had woken up when they heard him mentioned and moved the stones with what power they had that remained, but could do nothing more. The girls were paralyzed with fear, but were also grateful that the gravestones had stopped moving and silence had overtaken the cemetery again.

Monday excerpt

Hello there!  here is the excerpt of my book Hyperearth, where the girls Mary and Martina first met Sathon the magician.

Out of the fog above the lake, a light appeared. And from that light, a boat emerged, with none other than Sathon standing on it with open arms. The boat approached, moving on its own, and a bright white and yellow aura framed Sathon’s form. After the small boat reached the shore, Sathon rose slightly in the air and descended down to the ground.
“Where is Mulley?” Bear demanded of Sathon.
“You can do whatever you want to obstruct me, Bear. But you already know it’s useless,”
Sathon replied contemptuously with his hoarse voice.
“I do my best, Sathon,” Bear retorted.
Sathon said nothing, and it seemed as if his eyes began to twinkle. Suddenly, he moved his arm towards Mary and launched a beam at her, imprisoning her in a transparent bubble. “You think you two girls can stop me?” He mocked, with the air of invincibility. “Don’t be foolish.”
He finished his statement with a sinister laugh. “I’ll leave you in good company,” he said in farewell, vanishing into a cloud of smoke.
“It’s you who’s the fool!” Bear shouted. “Rest assured they’ll defeat you!”
Hennig approached his friend, trying to calm him and reminding him that there was still a Zanom nearby.
“Yes, yes, you’re right,” Bear agreed, collecting his wits. “We need to figure out how to get rid of these Zanom. Let me think.” He paused for a moment, and then exclaimed, “Here’s some Valk grass! Look in your bag for some leaves, Hennig.”
“Ah, yes, I have some here,” Hennig replied, pulling them out. “I’ll make a ball out of these.”
But the Zanom, seeing the powwow between Bear and Hennig, took the opportunity to pounce on them. Shocked, Hennig screamed at the top of his lungs. Danni approached from behind and struck the attacking Zanom as hard as she could, throwing the creature to the ground.
Bear shoved the ball of Valk grass and leaves into the mouth of the Zanom, and within a moment, the creature fell to the ground.
Hennig and Bear took guard, looking around them in preparation for another Zanom attack.
Bear kept his hands behind his back, and Hennig watched him wide-eyed with worry at his seeming vulnerability as the Zanom jumped towards him. Suddenly, Bear struck the Zanom’s neck as hard as he could with a lightning stone, and it fell to the ground, dazed. Hennig threw himself on the Zanom, forcing it to swallow the ball of Valk grass. It almost immediately took effect, causing the creature to twist and roll. The Zanom held his wings to his throat, and then exploded, turning into ash.
“Mary!” Bear shouted, trying to destroy the bubble that had encased her, but to no avail. “I have to ask Loken how to reverse this spell,” he said in desperation. “I can’t remember.”
“He definitely knows,” Hennig replied. “Only, I don’t know how to contact him. Sending the owls will take too long.”

The Piri Reis Map

Hello writers and readers, I enclosed Piri Reis Map on my book Hyperearth since it is a extraordinary example of mystery of this middle age times.
For who don't know about this map here is something that explain it.

The Piri Reis map is a world map compiled in 1513 from military intelligence by the Ottoman admiral and cartographer Piri Reis. Approximately one-third of the map survives; it shows the western coasts of Europe and North Africa and the coast of Brazil with reasonable accuracy. Various Atlantic islands including the Azores and Canary Islands are depicted, as is the mythical island of Antillia and possibly Japan.
The historical importance of the map lies in its demonstration of the extent of exploration of the New World by approximately 1510, and in its claim to have used Columbus's maps, otherwise lost, as a source. It used ten Arab sources, four Indian maps sourced from the Portuguese and one map of Columbus. More recently it has been the focus of pseudohistoric claims for the premodern exploration of the Antarctic coast.

Here is one extract from Hyperearth about Piri Reis map:

Martina unrolled a yellowed map, elaborately detailed with mountains, grassland, lakes, and rivers, but she noticed the northern coast of Antarctica was without a trace of ice or snow.
“I’ve read about this,” she commented. “But the language on this map is incomprehensible.”
Danni hesitated, not knowing what to say. “All I know is that this language is not from anywhere close to where we live. The map must have been inherited. There are many objects that Loken can’t even tell the origin of, nor who made them. Some of them are many centuries old.”
“I see what you mean,” Martina replied. “But I do know that the admiral Piri Reis drew maps of Antarctica in 1513, before it had been discovered.”
“Interesting,” Danni remarked.
“What if I told you the last time that Antarctica was without ice was in 4000 BC?” Martina further explained. “It’s incredible. A real mystery.”
